JOB DESCRIPTION
What You’ll Do:
As an Electrician I, you’ll install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment across the campus. You’ll need to be skilled in diagnosing problems, working safely, and following electrical codes. You may also work with generators and keep related records up to date.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and fix wiring, breakers, transformers, and other electrical parts

Find and fix electrical problems using tools and testing devices

Check systems for safety risks and make necessary repairs

Follow all electrical codes and safety rules

Keep accurate records of work and materials used

Work with other trades and respond to emergencies as needed

Possibly work with control systems like fire alarms, access control, and cameras
-
Use work order systems (CMMS) and basic Microsoft Office tools
-
Help guide apprentices or junior staff
What You Need (Minimum Qualifications):

Valid Journeyman Electrician License (per ACA 17-28-304)
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
5+ years of experience as an electrician
-
Valid driver’s license
Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications):
-
6+ years of electrical experience
-
Completed an apprenticeship program
-
Experience with control systems (e.g., alarms, cameras)
