Distribution Administrator
JOB DESCRIPTION
Pay Rate: $21.00
1st shift Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
Onsite only.
SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the organization and administration of LTL order information that is received into the Fresh Meats Load Planning department; coordinating with customers to schedule receiving appointments, assist in the coordinating of outbound freight; communicating with customer service representatives and sales representatives to obtain order delivery and receiving information as needed to achieve customer expectations; communicate service issues and customer requirements with Warehousing, Fleet and Transportation Operations departments as needed to contribute to achieve the efficient distribution of products; monitor sales orders for assigned customers for various company management personnel; assist in carrier tracking and tracing procedures and document such information in established reporting systems for management; assist in resolving delivery issues with sales, transportation dispatch, customers and/or carriers when needed; compile and distribute assigned distribution performance and customer service reports accurately and in a timely fashion; includes other division administrative duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 3+ years of office/clerical experience; transportation or customer service environment is preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are required; must possess articulate and professional phone skills with internal company contacts and external customers.
Special Skills: Must have the ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking.
