Recycling Supervisor:
JOB DESCRIPTION

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (must be flexible to change)

Pay Rate: $18–$25/hour, depending on experience

Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (required)

Duties:
· Staff Management: Ensure all employees arrive on time; report any absences or tardiness.
· Team Leadership: Direct leads to organizing tasks effectively, ensuring smooth operations.
· Cross-Training: Fill in for wash line and extrusion leads when necessary, maintaining production continuity.
· Production Coordination: Communicate with the Production Manager about production plans for both lines.
· Documentation: Enter paperwork for wash lines and extruders into the production file at the end of each shift.
· End-of-Shift Reporting: Complete End of Shift Daily Reports, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
· Machine Operation: Ensure operators are operating machines correctly and efficiently.
· Quality Control: Double-check the weights of output material and verify the accuracy of paperwork filled out by leads.
· Material Movement: Organize the movement of material from Receiving to Wash and from Wash to Extruder, ensuring appropriate paperwork is filled out.
· Safety Protocols: Monitor and enforce safety standards to maintain a safe working environment.
· Equipment Maintenance: Communicate with the Production Manager about equipment needs to be addressed by Maintenance.
· Problem-Solving: Address operational issues such as unplugged pumps, water supply to grinders, and air supply for gates at the wash line.
· Labeling: Print out labels for commodities being run at all machines, ensuring proper identification.
· Inventory Management: Ensure the correct labeling of Resin and Flake, maintaining accurate inventory records.
· Equipment Operation Assistance: Assist Wash line and Extrusion leads in operating equipment when necessary, ensuring uninterrupted production.
· Lead Support: Ensure leads are filling out daily checklists and addressing any discrepancies promptly.
· Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform other duties as directed by the Production Manager or as operational needs arise.
